My stay at Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide was quite enjoyable, thanks to its prime location in the heart of the city. The room was clean and spacious, and I appreciated the good selection at breakfast. However, there were some minor issues, such as a few maintenance concerns and challenges with room service. Overall, I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Adelaide.

Rooms
8.0
The room was large and comfortable, with good air conditioning and a nice-sized bathroom. I was in a room that overlooked the back area, so it was quieter than those facing Hindley Street. However, I did notice the plumbing was a bit noisy at times.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and accommodating, making my stay more enjoyable. I liked their quick room service and housekeeping, though there were a few hiccups with the food quality.
Location
10.0
The hotel is perfectly situated close to Rundle Mall, public transport, and many great restaurants. I found it easy to explore the city and also appreciated that it was in a relatively quiet area, despite being in a lively part of town.
Dining
7.0
I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and the dining options available were diverse and enticing. However, I was a bit disappointed with the room service food quality on a couple of occasions.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offers good amenities like a gym and pool, as well as a bar with a menu I found appealing. The lifts made getting around the hotel easy, though having mini-bar items accessible without needing a QR code would be a nice improvement.

My stay at Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide was a mix of highs and lows. While the room was spacious and comfy, the breakfast experience left much to be desired. The staff were friendly and helpful, but I was disappointed by unexpected noise from renovations and a rather lackluster food experience in the bar. Overall, it was a decent stay but not without issues.

Rooms

The Executive King Room was quite spacious and the mattress was super comfy. However, the TV was small and not functional, which was a letdown.
Service
8.0
The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially when I raised my concerns about the renovations. They offered to move me to another hotel, which was a nice gesture.
Location

The hotel is perfectly situated close to everything in Adelaide, making it easy to explore the area. I loved being so conveniently located.
Dining
5.0
Dining at Bistro Sixty5 was underwhelming – the breakfast food wasn't worth the price, with issues like dry bacon and poorly toated toast. The burger I ordered at the bar was also cold, which was disappointing.
Facilities
7.0
Great facilities including a heated spa and pool, though my experience could've been improved with better maintenance and attentiveness to guest needs.

I had a lovely stay at the Grand Chancellor Adelaide, thanks to the friendly staff and a cozy room. The location is unbeatable, just a short stroll from the riverfront and main shopping areas. However, I did encounter some frustrations with parking and noise from the nightclubs nearby, which affected my overall experience.

Rooms
9.0
My twin room was spacious and had a super comfortable bed, perfect for relaxing after a day out. The bathroom felt a bit old-fashioned, but the provided toiletries were sufficient.
Service
7.0
The staff were welcoming and attentive, although I found the customer service lacking when I raised some concerns during my stay. It would have been better if they had followed up more actively.
Location
10.0
The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore nearby dining and attractions. I loved how close it was to the Adelaide Oval and public transport.
Dining

While I enjoyed the breakfast atmosphere, I found the food a bit underwhelming considering the cost. The happy hour cocktails were a nice touch, especially at $5.
Facilities

The hotel offered a nice pool and good facilities. However, I did notice that parking was an unexpected added cost which was a bit frustrating.

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide. The location was fantastic, right in the central area, making it easy to access major attractions. However, I encountered some service issues, particularly with cleanliness in my room. Overall, it was a decent stay with great dining options available.

Rooms

I stayed in an Executive Queen Room, which was ok but had issues with dust and cleanliness. The beds could have been comfier, and I found the pillows quite high, leading to neck pain. The room's size was good, though.
Service
5.0
The service left much to be desired. I found the staff at reception to be rude and unhelpful during my check-in and check-out. It was disappointing when they didn’t ring me as promised regarding my room's readiness.
Location
9.0
Right in the heart of the city, the hotel's location was perfect for exploring. I could easily walk to Rundle Mall and nearby restaurants. It's very convenient for getting around Adelaide.
Dining
8.0
The hotel restaurant offered reasonably priced meals. I enjoyed my meals there and thought the breakfast was quite good (especially the variety of cereals and fresh fruit).
Facilities
6.0
The facilities included a nice outdoor pool and room service, which I appreciated. However, I was disappointed that some promised amenities like a kitchenette and hot tub weren't available.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide. While the location was fantastic, being just a short walk from Rundle Mall and the river, some aspects of my stay fell short. The service varied significantly; I experienced a warm welcome with thoughtful touches like a complimentary bottle of wine, but I also encountered dismissive staff and issues with my room that were not adequately addressed.

Rooms
7.0
The Executive King Plus room was comfortable in size, and I appreciated the choice of pillows. However, there were issues like hot temperatures and maintenance that detracted from the experience.
Service
5.0
Service was inconsistent. While some staff went above and beyond, others seemed poorly trained and dismissive, especially regarding our room issues.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is a real highlight, with easy access to all major city attractions. Everything I wanted to see was within a short walk, which made exploring Adelaide a breeze.
Dining
6.0
I found the food options convenient, especially with casual dining at the bar, but the quality didn’t match the price, which was disappointing.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered some good facilities like a small gym, and a clean pool. However, I did notice some lack of communication from reception regarding ongoing maintenance work.
